Hallo all!!
We have made it safely to Germany. We are having fun but have been so darn busy and cannot find any internet cafes. Today we found one in Mainz in the old part of town. Go figure.
We have been spending most of our time with family, meeting everyone and we have learned about 3pm coffee and cake which is really good but usually ends up going till dinner and the drinking begins. We are all going to be much bigger than when we left. In fact Nichole told Mom today that we cannot do anymore 3pm cake and coffee.
Poor Mom has had to interpret for us and all the Germans too so she is working like a ping pong ball.
As far as touring we have made it to Mainz 3 times now and we just love it here. We are leaving in an hour for the Rhine Tour to visit St. Goar and see a castle ruin there.
The weather has been absolutely amazing. Mostly hot and sunny. Its supposed to rain Friday.
sorry for the delays on getting back to you all but its been crazy with family obligations and no internet access. We hope it will be better in Munich.
The big birthday party for Rinas 80th is Sunday, then we leave for Munich on Monday.

This is my first entry on our travel blog. I wanted to test it out to be sure its working and to make sure all our friends and family can access it. We can post our daily tours along with photos!

In case you didn't know Mom, Sandy, Brenda, Linda, Nichole, Rachel and David (my hubby)are leaving on Sept 9th for Mainz Germany. We will be there a total of 2 weeks. The first week in the Mainz area the second week in the Munich area.

We are looking forward to a vacation of a lifetime! We have a very full agenda prepared and we hope that we can even do half of it! A couple different areas we hope to see besides Germany are Salzburg, Austria & Prague, Czech Republic. My friend & wine tasting buddy Huberta from Twin Falls, ID. Will also be in the Mainz area the same time so we hope to hook up with her for a wine tasting tour on the Rhine River!

David and I also met a very nice couple (Hans & Christa) from the Munich area. They were RVing the western part of the USA and we met them at Craters of The Moon in August. We hope to hook up with them the 2nd week for a great time in Munich. Remember it will be Oktoberfest while we are there! Roll Out The Barrel!!

We should all have Internet access the first week, we will probably use Internet Cafe's the second week. We will all try to post as often as we can via this blog so check it often.
