We met our friends there and thez showed us the ropes, we found a tent right away and got seats bz 2pm, we then proceeded to sit there and drink till about 9pm! Mom, Nichole, LInda & I found another tent that served wine and ended up stazing there for hours, we sang, we danced alongside Germans zoung and old and just laughed so hard it was not even funny. These ... Went to Oktoberfest Thursday and had an absolute blast!
We met our friends there and thez showed us the ropes, we found a tent right away and got seats bz 2pm, we then proceeded to sit there and drink till about 9pm!
Mom, Nichole, LInda & I found another tent that served wine and ended up stazing there for hours, we sang, we danced alongside Germans zoung and old and just laughed so hard it was not even funny. These guys no how to partz hands down!
We ate giant pretzels that were delicious, brats on kaiser rolls with mustard and just plain had fun. We prettz much wanted to staz the night in our wine tent with all those people, thez suddenlz become your family. We all promised each other we would be back next year same date and time to do it all over again!
Language is not an issue when it comes to drinking, dancing and having fun.
Gotta run, we are heading to Munich again to look around before leaving for home on Sat.
PS we loved Prague too! An amazinglz beautiful citz!

Brenda left this morning for her flight and we assume she has made it back to Tulsa, she leaves for Idaho on Tuesday morning. We are in whats considered teh Bavarian area of Germany. It is verz beautiful, lots & lots of trees and forest around us. In fact zou cannot see towns because of all the trees. ... After a very stressful start we have made it to Mitterfels, we are almost on the Czech Republic border. So far our plans are to go to Passau tomorrow on a bus tour and boat cruise on the Danube River. Wednesday will be a bus tour of Prague, we can hardlz wait for that one!! Then probablz Oktoberfest on Thursdaz.
Sorrz I have not loaded photos but this place does not allow it. As soon as I can I will. I have some fun ones.
We are all well just reallz reallz tired.

Her bank gave her a bottle of wine with a wine glass! Neigbors stop by with flowers! The catholic priest even came by! We starting drinking champagne at 11am todaz! Its all pretty ... Allo!

We did the Rhine Cruise Thursday morning and it was absolutely stunning, there are so manz castles along the Rhine. We learned a lot about them. We did the Rhine Cruise Thursday morning and it was absolutely stunning, there are so manz castles along the Rhine. We learned a lot about them. <like did zou know that if the name ends with burg its was owned by a knight and he collected tolls from the boats before thez could pass is house. The schloss were owned by kings and thez are usuallz verz large. We started in Mainz and changed boats in Rhudesheim. We saw the famous street there, its way cool and just filled tothe brim with items and food. After an hour we boarded another boat and saw many more castles and churches. We got off at St. Goar and to hike up to Rhinefels castle, now when I saz hike I mean a verz verticle hike. We were pretty sure Brenda was going to die. She made it though. We toured the ruin which was waayy cool. We hiked back down and had dinner and caught the last train to Mainz.
Fridaz we ventured into Gonsenhiem and saw moms home town. She ended up finding a very old friend and stazed for... zou guessed it, cake and coffee! all of us went into town and looked around a bit.
Last night was pretty darn crazy, we went to a winery in Bodenheim and drank much wine and ate dinner. I bought a case of wine to be shipped back home. We then moved to a beer garden and drank lots more. I swear we all laughed so hard. We continued back to WolfGangs and drank more, went to bed about 3am. The exciting news is we met up with Huberta at the winery and reallz had a nice visit.
Thats about it for now, will up date you more next time.

We have been spending most of our time with family, meeting everyone and we have learned about 3pm coffee and cake which is really good but usually ends up going till dinner and the drinking begins. We have made it safely to Germany. We are having fun but have been so darn busy and cannot find any internet cafes. Today we found one in Mainz in the old part of town. Go figure.
We have been spending most of our time with family, meeting everyone and we have learned about 3pm coffee and cake which is really good but usually ends up going till dinner and the drinking begins. We are all going to be much bigger than when we left. In fact Nichole told Mom today that we cannot do anymore 3pm cake and coffee.
Poor Mom has had to interpret for us and all the Germans too so she is working like a ping pong ball.
As far as touring we have made it to Mainz 3 times now and we just love it here. We are leaving in an hour for the Rhine Tour to visit St. Goar and see a castle ruin there.
The weather has been absolutely amazing. Mostly hot and sunny. Its supposed to rain Friday.
sorry for the delays on getting back to you all but its been crazy with family obligations and no internet access. We hope it will be better in Munich.
The big birthday party for Rinas 80th is Sunday, then we leave for Munich on Monday.

I wanted to test it out to be sure its working and to make sure all our friends and family can access it. We can post our daily tours along with photos! In case you didn't know Mom, Sandy, Brenda, Linda, Nichole, Rachel and David (my hubby)are leaving on Sept 9th for Mainz Germany. We will be there a total of 2 weeks. The first week in the ... In case you didn't know Mom, Sandy, Brenda, Linda, Nichole, Rachel and David (my hubby)are leaving on Sept 9th for Mainz Germany. We will be there a total of 2 weeks. The first week in the Mainz area the second week in the Munich area.

We are looking forward to a vacation of a lifetime! We have a very full agenda prepared and we hope that we can even do half of it! A couple different areas we hope to see besides Germany are Salzburg, Austria & Prague, Czech Republic. My friend & wine tasting buddy Huberta from Twin Falls, ID. Will also be in the Mainz area the same time so we hope to hook up with her for a wine tasting tour on the Rhine River!

David and I also met a very nice couple (Hans & Christa) from the Munich area. They were RVing the western part of the USA and we met them at Craters of The Moon in August. We hope to hook up with them the 2nd week for a great time in Munich. Remember it will be Oktoberfest while we are there! Roll Out The Barrel!!

We should all have Internet access the first week, we will probably use Internet Cafe's the second week. We will all try to post as often as we can via this blog so check it often.
